Testing the Final Piece
Today, we want back into the room in which we will be presenting our installation, we started off by testing out the hanging of the masks. To do this, we got a clear string so it would give the illusion that the masks were floating by themselves. We punched holes at the top of the masks with a hole puncher. We then attached different lengths of the string to the masks so they would all hang at different levels. We then tied the string around thumb-tacks and thankfully they were strong enough to hold the weight of the string to the masks when attached to the ceiling.
We turned off all the main lights and only left on one, we played around with different lighting tones and strengths and we were happy with how everything was coming together, we felt that small spot lights may be more affective and we are going to try that the next day.
Unfortunately, the projector was not working in our favour today so we have to bring a HTMI adaptor the next day which will hopefully work for us.
